Snake Ring

An oath to power and courage. Snakes were believed to be immortal because they shed their skin. Featured in jewelry, the snake symbolised success and the course of life. A snake ring also symbolised power and courage. This ring is based on the model of a ring, found in Vesilahti in the Pirkanmaa region, dating back to the 7th century AD. The spiral has cross-stitch ornamentation and easily recognisable snake-shaped motifs at both ends.

蛇のリング – 古代のシンボル、再生の象徴、時を超えた形



蛇は古来より、力・再生・不死のシンボルとされてきました — 脱皮を繰り返す蛇は、永遠の存在と信じられてきたのです。カレワラのKäärmesormusキャールメ（フィンランド語で「蛇」を意味する。）リング。デザインは、フィンランドのヴェシラハティ地域で発掘された指輪の原型をもとにしており、その指輪は西暦600年代のメロヴィング朝時代に遡ります。
