Coat of arms of Hannu
The coat of arms of Hannu protects from evil. The pattern formed by a single strip creates a protective power, in the power of which the whole of northern Europe believed in ancient times. The pattern is also reminiscent of the earth's four guardian spirits, who each settled in their own corner and supported the sky above the earth. The Nordic peoples named these spirits West, East, North and South.
