The necklace carries a strong message of a fickle heart that does not always listen to reason. Designed by Björn Weckström, the My Foolish Heart jewelry creates a dialogue between crystal clear and soft shimmering matte silver, evoking images of pure frosty snow and ice shimmering in sunlight on a winter day. Hook lock, the length of the chain is not adjustable. You can also remove the pendant from the chain and use it with a different chain or a ribbon. The reverse of the pendant is hollow.

JEWELRY STORY

Jewelry artist and sculptor Björn Weckström is the internationally best-known Finnish jewelry designer. The sculpturesque jewelry designed by Weckström in the 1960s signified a revolution in the still highly conservative world of jewelry, and made him famous worldwide. Many pieces of silver jewelry designed by Björn Weckström are inspired by the cold beauty of winter in the North. In the jewelry, he immortalised the evolving sculpturesque windblown forms in snow, while the dialogue of crystal clear and soft shimmering matte silver evokes images of pure frosty snow and ice shimmering in sunlight on a winter day

Care instructions for silver jewelry

Kalevala silver jewelry is handcrafted in Finland from sterling silver. More than 99% of the silver we use is recycled.

Over time, all silver jewelry darkens. Darkening can be prevented by regular cleaning and proper storage of the jewelry. Dark spots can be removed with a Kalevala cleaning cloth. After cleaning, it is a good idea to wash the jewelry in mild soapy water so that the cleaning agent does not stain the clothes. The cleaning cloth is not suitable for cleaning stones set in silver jewelry.

It is good to keep the jewelry in its original packaging. Additional protection for jewelry without
against the darkening effect of impurities is provided by a tight plastic bag.
